Start your morning at 9:00 a.m. with a scrumptious breakfast and a friendly trip orientation to help you get acquainted with your journey ahead. Spend time getting to know your fellow travelers and soak in the energy of the group. In the evening, enjoy a traditional “Welcome to Uganda” dinner, complete with live entertainment that brings local culture to life. Rest well tonight in Entebbe—tomorrow, we head west to the heart of Uganda’s beauty!
Rise early for a scenic 4-hour drive to western Uganda, with stops to enjoy local foods, fresh fruit stands, and friendly waves from villagers along the way. Arrive at your eco-friendly resort in Kyegegwa, check in, and unwind with a light snack or late lunch. After some rest, we’ll visit the nearby Hibeteba Waterfalls—a sacred site where royal kings once bathed, perfect for photos and peaceful reflection. In the evening, enjoy a BBQ dinner, traditional music, and dancing around a bonfire under the stars.
After a lively night of dancing, take a short drive to hike through the mystical Njonjo Caves and Forest. Plant your own tree and leave a lasting legacy in Uganda. Enjoy a special session with a local prince who shares the tradition of bequeathing pet names, then visit a grain storage site supporting village food security. Spend the afternoon at your leisure—rest, write, or explore the resort. Tomorrow, the national park adventure begins!
After breakfast, we depart Kyegegwa for a 1-hour scenic drive to Fort Portal, with photo stops at tea estates and roadside baboons. Check into the Nyaika Hotel and enjoy the pool, spa, or a relaxing stroll.
In the evening, visit Kibale National Park for a guided walk and a chance to see chimpanzees in the wild.
Back at the hotel, enjoy royal storytelling with a Batoro princess over a traditional dinner.
Visit the Semuliki Hot Springs, where legends surround the male and female springs. Then, enjoy a scenic overlook and watch Batwa children climb steep hillsides to greet visitors—a beautiful cultural moment. Bringing small treats to share is encouraged. The evening is yours to relax with dinner, music, or a lounge visit at the hotel.
Rise early for the trip to Kasese, where you’ll meet the artist-in-residence at the Rwenzori Foundry, showcasing stunning African sculpture. Spend time with the Busongora women, famous for their seated dances, and hear powerful stories from a real African king. In the evening, enjoy a sunset safari through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner is on your own—dine locally or relax at the lodge.
After a full day of royal encounters, enjoy a leisurely morning with breakfast and time to relax around the hotel. Later, explore the mystical Lake Kyaninga crater lakes, formed over 10,000 years ago, and stroll through the beautiful Tooro Botanical Gardens. After lunch, we’ll pack up and head to Kampala, Uganda’s bustling capital—a 4-hour drive through scenic countryside. Once in Kampala dinner will be served at the famed Piato Restaurant or delivered to your room for a cozy night in.
Enjoy a slow morning—sleep in, catch up on laundry, and pack at your own pace. Breakfast will be delivered to your room. Our first tour of Kampala’s iconic attractions begins at 9:30 a.m., giving you time to ease into the day. No visit to Uganda’s capital is complete without a delicious lunch at the beloved Café Javas, a local favorite known for its vibrant atmosphere and flavorful dishes. Enjoy your last night in Uganda at one of the nearby lounges/restaurants.
It’s hard to believe the journey has come to an end! To make your morning easy, breakfast will be delivered to your room so you can pack, rest, and prepare for travel at your own pace. In the afternoon, join us for a special farewell luncheon at the famed Piato Restaurant, where we’ll celebrate the memories made and friendships formed.
Your tour guide is available to help with extra excursions, extended stays, or other experiences in Uganda, should you wish to continue exploring. For guests departing in the evening, complimentary ground transportation to Entebbe International Airport is included.
